Who was Sir Isaac Newton? What are the laws of motion? How does gravity effect us? During this four week course, students will learn about and explore Sir Isaac Newton, his three laws of motion, as well as kinetic and potential energy. These concepts will be explored through a variety of interactive learning, including engaging class discussions and videos, interactive small group activities and experiments each class. Every class will have a similar flow that includes a teacher led presentation and video to introduce new concepts, followed by class discussions, hands on activities and experiments to explore new concepts. This course covers the following beginning physics concepts: Class 1 – This class will introduce students to Sir Isaac Newton as well as Newton’s first law of motion. Class 2 – This class will have students explore Newton’s second law of motion. Class 3 – During this class students will explore Newton’s third law of motion. Class 4 – This class will introduce students to kinetic and potential energy.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am offering this course because I have a masters in teaching and experience teaching elementary level science. I am a former classroom teacher, turned homeschool mom who loves to teach in a variety of environments. I have taught all subjects, but getting students excited about science and nature through hands on, interactive learning is my passion.
