Class experience
This 8 week class will be offered throughout the 20/21 school year and will build upon itself as the year progresses. While students who take more than 1 session may repeat and review concepts, techniques and art elements, each activity will be different. Stephanie is a k-12 certified art educator and arts in healthcare profession who has been teaching children and working with dementia care residents for over 20 years. Creating fun, engaging art experiences that are age appropriate and confidence building is her specialty, she'll use these skills to bring art to life for your kindergartner!
brightly colored construction paper mixed media paper watercolor paint tempera paint a variety of size and types of brushes (daubers, foam brushes, round or flat paint brushes) glue sticks glue bottle scissors crayons model magic or a dough made from a provided recipe washable markers chalk black permanent marker (I promise, I will teach them how to use this properly when needed) and if you're feeling very brave....glitter!
Art making can be messy, please ensure student work surfaces are well protected and students dress for mess.
