This 8 week class will be offered throughout the 20/21 school year and will build upon itself as the year progresses. While students who take more than 1 session may repeat and review concepts, techniques and art elements, each activity will be different. Activities will never repeat, allowing students lay a firm foundation for confidence and understanding while opening the door for creative collaboration and friendship to be created by repeat learners. Each class will begin with an introduction to an inspiration artwork followed by an opportunity to engage with Ms Stephanie and other class members by responding to questions created around a specific aspect of the artwork. Students will then work along side Ms. Stephanie to create uniquely individual art works. Students will be encouraged to show and share their art work at various point throughout the class and again at the end of class. Each week students will explore a different art making medium and technique using artwork and artists throughout history to build both large and fine motor skills, creative thinking skills, resilience, flexibility and confidence in this fun and engaging class.
