This is an multiday reading class where students will be introduced to different high frequency words each day.
Class experience
US Grade Kindergarten
Each class we will learn some of the different high frequency words from the Dolch Pre-Primer and Primer word lists. Students will be taught using a direct instruction approach to learn and review the words in isolation, then to read simple sentences with the words. Students will respond as a group and individually. Day 1: "is", "that" and "my" Day 2: "look" "at" and "me" Day 3: "and", "to" and "the" Day 4: "go", "play" and "run" Then we will spend a few minutes practicing the high...
Learners will need a whiteboard and marker or paper and other writing utensil (pencil, crayon, etc).
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
