Journey into Reading: Sight Words with Ms. B, Class 1

📚Journey into Reading: Sight Words with Ms. B is a Multi-Day class that will have learners coloring, clapping, reading, tracing, spelling and re-telling. We will meet two times per week, 30 minutes each class for a total of four weeks. 

📝As a class students will work together as a group and independently to work on our Sight Words. This class is structured for students to work together in conversation with teacher and peers. I create all classes for peers to support each other, work together as a team and to have fun while learning. 

Class will begin with introductions and how we will complete each sight word. 
✏️Students are encouraged to bring a spiral notebook with two of their favorite colored markers. Prior to our worksheets, students will be introduced to our two new words and practice using them in a sentence.

👍 In class we will use thumbs up after we work on each section of class. It is not how many sight words we can complete in class, instead it will be how many words are we understanding. Each class meeting, we will work on 2 words with a review of each word at the end of class. **Each class will have two pintables. These will be needed to complete each class. Students will also need crayons or markers to write with.  No prior knowledge of sight words is needed but strongly encouraged.

Additional sight word practice handouts will be shared via a pdf to further each learners sight word knowledge. Students are welcome to print these and share in the next class or take a picture and upload into the classroom page.

** If you have questions if you learner is advanced or may not be ready, please email me and I will answer your questions prior to enrollment. Students are welcome to work on extension activities outside of class time. Students may work on unfinished work after class.
