Description
Class Experience
Today: First of all let me get something straight, this is a JOURNALING class, not a DIARY writing class. I told mom that Ms. Rebeka said this was a Journal Writing Club...I'm not sure if I'll like it or not. But, I guess I will give it a try. Our Class Experience: Well, I tried it. It sounds like this club is for the avid writer, to the resistant writer, and all those in between, whatever that means. We will combine creative writing and academic writing every week. I like the creative part,...
Students will strengthen their writing and communication skills, help process their feelings through journaling, stimulate creativity and meaningful expression of thoughts, transferring examples in reading to original ideas for their own writing, expression through simple doodles and drawing, and have their own AMAZING journal to work on and keep!
1 file available upon enrollmentEach week, learners will need a journal or diary to write in, (for example: a special journal, a composition notebook, lined paper in a binder or stapled), the one-page, 'Greg's Outline to an Amazing Journal Entry' printout provided when you sign up for class - or a blank piece of paper, a special pencil or pen to write with, and (optional) a copy of their favorite, 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', by Jeff Kinley for inspiration!
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
