In this one time class we will be delving into the world of paleontology. We will explore the fossil record, what fossils are, how do they form and where we find them. We will also discuss how paleontology is done, examining both the more traditional techniques and modern ones. Lastly, we will learn about what paleontology can tell us and how to reconstruct past ecosystems. During this course I will encourage questions and discussion between the learners to foster interest and creativity. This course is open to all learners, no prior knowledge or experience is required, but an interest in paleontology is encouraged.
