Class Experience
In this 30 minute, one-time class students will learn the ins and outs of volcanoes. We will discuss the different kinds of volcanoes, from the calmer ones found on Hawaii and Iceland, to the explosive volcanoes on the west coast of North America. We will discuss how and where they form, as well as famous eruptions in history. Students will learn about the types of volcanoes, how, why, and where they form, as well as what kinds of lava creates which type of volcano.
I have both a Bachelor's of science and Master's degree in Earth Science, and have previously worked at a UNESCO fossil world heritage site.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
