Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 2
In this one time 30-minute course, we will be learning all about the foundations of geology: Rocks! We will be covering the different types of rocks (Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic), how they formed, the rock cycle, and how to identify rocks. Learners will be encouraged to ask questions and discuss amongst themselves about the different types of rocks they have seen. This course provides a great background into the world of geology and for my future classes delving deeper into the exciting world of rocks. No prior knowledge is required for this course. This course will cover much of the same information as my All About Rocks! (Ages 8-12) course, but will be tailored to younger learners.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to identify the major rock types, learn how they would have formed, as well as the rock cycle.
