We will work on the concept of long division, how to remember the steps of solving a long division problem, and solve problems together and independently. Students will be able to work with their peers as well as their teacher to help solve problems. I believe in starting with modeling and moving into guided practice as they build their confidence. Then, they are ready for independent practice. Students should have some background knowledge on multiplication. If they know their multiplication facts, that is a plus but it is not needed.

Hi! My name is Mrs. Brush and I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. I love teaching math and writing! I have seven years of public, charter, and private school teaching experience. I taught fourth grade for five years, K-6 science, public speaking, three year olds, and I was a private tutor for many years. I love when students get to collaborate and brainstorm together. Listening to them work through problems together makes my teacher’s heart smile! I was homeschooled as a kid and I homeschooled a family of five when I was in college!
