Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Liz Booher! I am so excited to start my journey with Outschool. I have a bachelors degree in elementary education from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. Over the last 11 years, I have worked with children in various ways. From nanny to classroom teacher to swim coach to children's program director at a guest ranch.
After college, I worked as a nanny in Puerto Rico and Ohio. I loved my time working for families with small children and exploring new places. I even worked on a guest ranch in Arizona as their children's program director. For the last 7 years, I have worked as a licensed classroom teacher. I primarily taught third grade, but I have taught in high school and middle school, as well. My favorite subject is math with science coming in a close second.
My goal while teaching has always been to create a safe and engaging learning environment for all students. I love to incorporate songs and games into my lessons. I am very excite to see your student in the classroom!
