Homework
1 hour per week. If students bring English homework to me to work on, I will not assign additional homework. If students come simply wanting to improve their writing, I may assign additional work. Students should have no more than 45 minutes of homework per week.Class Experience
US Grade 6 - 12
This is a one-on-one tutoring class focused on writing. Students can bring homework assignments, or I will give them assignments that are targeted to help improve writing skills. My approach to tutoring writing is to take students where they are at, and introduce new skills and tricks to help them improve and write confidently. I use a variety of methods during sessions, but I always aim to make the process fun and engaging. In class we will work on word choice, writing a powerful introductions and texts, using tone to convey a message and more. I also provide students with templates to write various types of assignments to make writing easier.
