Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students will receive homework after each session to reinforce the skills covered in the lesson. This homework will include targeted writing exercises and opportunities for creative expression.Assessment

Class Description: These tutoring sessions are customized to each student’s specific needs, focusing on developing strong writing habits, improving grammar, and enhancing creativity. Each lesson is designed to address individual challenges, making writing an enjoyable and rewarding experience. This course will not only improve your writing for academic purposes but will also empower you to express yourself confidently in any situation. What Will Be Taught? Every session is a personalized journey through the essentials of effective writing. We will cover: • Structuring essays and creative writing pieces. • Enhancing grammar and punctuation accuracy. • Expanding vocabulary and using it effectively. • Developing a unique writing voice and style. • Practicing with real-world writing prompts and exercises. • Strategies for writing under time constraints. Tutoring Structure: This course is designed to be interactive and engaging. We will meet once a week for 55 minutes, with each session focusing on a specific writing aspect. Sessions will include: • Analyzing and editing real writing samples. • Interactive discussions to brainstorm and outline ideas. • Writing exercises tailored to the student’s interests and goals. • Games and activities to make grammar and vocabulary practice fun. The weekly topics that will be covered will be tailored to your child. I reccomend that most students sign up for at least eight weeks. This is the standard progression of skill building over 8 weeks of sessions. Weekly Topics: • Week 1: Structuring the Perfect Essay • Week 2: Grammar Mastery: Polishing Your Writing • Week 3: Expanding Your Vocabulary: Choosing the Right Words • Week 4: Finding Your Voice: Creative Writing Techniques • Week 5: Writing with Clarity: Revising and Editing • Week 6: Writing Under Pressure: Timed Writing Strategies • Week 7: Crafting Strong Introductions and Conclusions • Week 8: Writing for Different Audiences: Adapting Your Style
