This 4 week class gives the opportunity for plenty of practice playing 4 great pieces of music before moving on to the next level of this series or Step 5 on the road to recorder brilliance. It is recommended that learners enrolling in this course have attended at least one of the one-time classes or courses at level 3 in the I Can Play That Tune series of lessons or have completed Step 4 on the road to recorder brilliance. Learners should be able to confidently play B A G, low E and D, high C and D, and be able to read these notes on the music or have a willingness to learn. Songs in this class will also use F sharp. Alternatively message me with your learners recorder experience for guidance on the suitability of this course. Four pieces of music will be chosen from the list below depending on learners previous experience and classes taken with me. Week 1 - Learners will have the opportunity to share their recorder experience and show what notes they can play, giving the teacher an opportunity to teach any new notes and give guidance on further learning where necessary. Learners will also be introduced to the first piece of music. Weeks 2 - 4 Weeks 2 - 4 will begin with a review of the previous weeks piece of music. Then class will move on with the introduction of new music and an opportunity to discuss the notation, dynamics and direction of the piece before playing. Learners will have the opportunity in class to practice the piece in small sections, particularly any challenging rhythms. They will then be expected to practice the piece during the week and showcase their playing in the following lesson.
