The human voice is an incredible instrument. This class will teach the elements of creating voice over characters. Each learner will get the opportunity to explore the different aspects of voice control to develope a variety of voices. We will practice pitch, cadence, and emotion and other techniquers used to control the voice. I will begin with some warmups and then jump into an interactive session of script reading and simple improv scene building. I am an enthusiastic instructor and have been directing improv for 10 years. Your learner will get comfortable doing voices in a positive enviroment.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the different aspects of vocal variety. We will develope several different characters and learn how to use them effectively. Each week we will discover new ways to get the most out of your voice acting skills. Building a foundation to continue creating fun and exciting new voice characters.

Supply List
A working microphone and if possible headphones. It can be a mic/headphone type headset. Aquiet and distraction free place. We will be doing voices and it is really important to be able to hear each learner clearly. Room temperature water is also suggested.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

As a member of Toastmasters for over ten years, I have developed an evaluation technique that is focused on positive reinforcement of learners skills while also giving them the encouragement to improve.
