Class Experience
Script writing that is focused around dialogue. We will look at grammar, but more focused on realism in the scripts. each student will help in the brainstorming sessions to create the characters, locations and plots line. we will edit and rewrite during the class and then perform the scene(s) we create. Each learner will have the opportunity to participate in the areas that will showcase thier skills and also be challenged to work on the areas needing improvement. This is an ongoing class and...
We will cover the C.O.R.E. elements of creating a scene for movies, anime, video games and plays. The focus is on the dialogue between characters. We will explore techniques in creating great locations and the relationship between characters. learners will also get to perform the scripts with an evaluation session at the end of class. Skills in Writing, Improv, Acting, and the ability to share ideas is highly recommended. We will write, edit and rewrite scripts each day. We will also work on the individual projects.
Although homework is never assigned, I encourage learners to keep writing when not in class. I like them to brainstorm new characters, plot lines, details and locati9on to use in writing sessions.
1 file available upon enrollmentI request that each learner has materials to write down notes. It helps them stay organized. headphones and mic are also encouraged. A gaming headset is used successfully by many of my learners.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
