In this ongoing class, you will learn about what makes computers work from a hardware and software perspective. This class is at an appropriate level for an advanced 11 or 12 year old. Otherwise it is good for a 13 to 16 year old who is interested in the details of how the circuits in a computer work, including transistors, logic gates, the binary numbering system, binary arithmetic, processors, and low level programming. Below is a list of topics that we will study for the first several weeks. The list will continuously be updated so you know what we will be studying and choose classes that most interest you. You are welcome to join any week that interests you or stay for several weeks to gain a broader understanding of how computers work.
