Payments for the upcoming week are processed every Sunday. To avoid being charged for upcoming missed lessons, please contact me before the Sunday when payment is processed. Once payment has been processed for a lesson, refunds will not be provided. However, learners will have the opportunity to make up missed lessons. If the course is paid for in full upon enrollment, learners will have the opportunity to make up missed lessons. Open Resources/ Khan Academy Curriculum Unit 1: Sequences Unit 2: Linear and Exponential Functions Unit 3: Features of Functions Unit 4: Equations and Inequalities Unit 5: Systems of Equations and Inequalities Unit 6: Quadratic Functions Unit 7: Structure of Quadratic Expressions Unit 8: More Functions, More Features Unit 9: Modeling Data Class Structure/Experience: We will begin each session with an opening activity that introduces the topic. Students will learn and practice NEW concepts. Each session will conclude with a closing summary of what was covered and what's coming next! Teaching Style: Student-Centered !!! LOTS of interactive activities, games and discussions !!! Research proves that a student-centered instructional model is key to learning! Interaction Level: Medium to High !!! Students will have an opportunity to engage with me and each other through games, video clips and discussions! It is my first priority to ensure the safety of all students so open chat and open microphone will be limited. All interactive activities are selected to maximize learning while providing a safe environment to do so! Prior Knowledge: 8th Grade Standards !!! I prefer students to have foundational 7th grade skills before enrolling in my course.

Parental Guidance
External resources will be used to enhance learning. These resources will be used during class time via screen share or during independent work time. Some external resources used will require student accounts which will be activated and assigned by the teacher at no additional cost to you. The teacher will assign generic (no personal identifiers) username/passwords for each student. The student will only have access to their generic accounts while enrolled in my course. All external resources have been vetted and approved to be appropriate for learning. Many of these external resources will only be utilized via screen share. However, if an approved tool will be used outside of the Zoom platform you will be notified prior too. External resources are: Google Classroom.
