Students will learn to analyze primary documents and synthesize the diverse perspectives of the documents. They will build oral presentation skills through in-class discussion of the various sides of the debate. The primary documents, as well as relevant background information, will be presented and explored in class together each week, allowing for group discussion and analysis.
