Class Experience

This class highlights the opportunity for exploring several NGSS Cross Cutting Concepts: Patterns, Structure/Function, Scale/Proportion, Stability/Change
Teacher Carmen is a degreed Wildlife Ecologist and Environmental Educator drawing class information from lived career experience and coursework at the University of California and the University of Idaho. She is a part-time museum educator and raptor biologist with a full-time passion for sharing the superpower of science with youth. 
To complete the hands-on science activity, students will need: One sheet of 8.5x11 paper Tape Scissors A flat work surface An area where it is safe to throw or drop a paper glider
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
