Our Class Objective: In this popular animal science class, students will learn facts about Polar Bears. We will explore and compare their habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status. During Class: I will be using photo slides in a power point presentation and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of language arts, math and science vocabulary. - Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the polar bear such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics.
- Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the polar bear.
- Students will learn why conservation of polar bears s is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species.
- Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the polar bear and the arctic habitat.
