In this popular animal science class, students will learn facts about Arctic Wolves. We will explore and compare the habitat, physical characteristics, and conservation status of Arctic Wolves. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. 1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the Arctic Wolf such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like the Arctic Wolf. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Arctic Wolves is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Arctic Wolf and the polar habitat.
