Class Experience
In this popular animal science class, students will learn facts about Green Sea Turtles. We will explore and compare the habitat, characteristics, diet, family group and conservation status of Green Sea Turtles. I will be using a presentation created using photo slides and asking interactive questions that will also integrate elements of geography, math and vocabulary into an animal science lesson designed to motivate natural curiosity. I will also include two downloadable templates that will...
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the Green Sea Turtle such as size, diet, habitat and characteristics. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like Green Sea Turtles. 3. Students will learn why conservation of Green Sea Turtles is so important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will learn new vocabulary words related to the study of the Green Sea Turtle and their ocean habitat.
Your child may be interested in learning more facts about the topic of Green Sea Turtles and animal conservation science. Great science enrichment for independent or homeschooled learners.

There is not a formal assessment for this class. Students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to develop additional math, geography, vocabulary and creative thinking while learning about Green Sea Turtles.
