Class Experience

Students will practice discussing various topics in a respectful way.
Students will improve their understanding of basic coloring techniques.
Students will improve their understanding of patterns, line, symmetry, perspective, and other artist skills as applicable.
Students will learn how to practice using a growth mindset while creating their art.
I have been drawing, painting, and creating artwork for many years. I have experience with digital drawing on Procreate, and I am a Professional polymer clay artist. I have also been teaching elementary school aged kids for over four years, which includes teaching art. I have used various art supplies with my students in my own classroom.
Learners may use any art supplies that they like. Examples: -Art Markers: dual tip marker pens, Sharpies, Copic, etc. -Watercolors: disc or tube -Colored Pencils: any kind -Crayons: any kind, but I am particularly fond of the twistables! -Graphite Pencils: artist quality or regular #2 -Eraser: Pink erasers or Gum erasers are the best! -Paints: acrylic, tempera, etc. -Media Appropriate Paper: For example, there are usually drawing pads that say "marker and watercolor paper" that are thicker and better to use with wet mediums.
30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Parental supervision or guidance is suggested for inexperienced or younger learners. Even though most art materials will wash off of skin, surfaces, and clothing be sure that your learner knows how to keep their materials on their surface or their artwork. It is suggested that your learner wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty, and that your learner is in an area that can be wiped down. I suggest putting newspaper or parchment paper under the area where your learner will draw in case of accidental drawing.
