No prior experience needed! In this group guitar class, we will go over the basics of learning the guitar: understanding the anatomy of the instrument, how to tune your guitar, proper guitar playing technique, and reading and playing guitar chords. Your student will come out of class with the ability to memorize chords and play them upon seeing the short-hand writing for each chord. With practice and instruction, students will be able to learn any song they please on the guitar in a short amount of time. Students will need a guitar, a place where they feel comfortable practicing and performing for the teacher, and an eagerness to try something outside of their comfort zone.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to tune and care for their guitar. They will also learn guitar chords and tablatures so they can learn how to play any song they please with ease.
