Class Experience
In this one-time course, students will learn how to play Christmas songs for the guitar at a beginning level. Students do not need to be strong music readers, but they should have an understanding of knowing what and where frets are for the guitar. It is best if they can play at least one song before taking this class. All guitars should be tuned before the class begins. I have been teaching guitar since I was in high school. I have had almost 2 decades of experience working in the elementary classroom and really try to connect with students to help them understand and enjoy the language of music.
Students will need a guitar. All guitars should be tuned before the class.
I will listen to students and assess the students playing.
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may need to remain close by if their child is playing an electric guitar (for safety).
