I am so excited to teach your student to the guitar. This course is the second course of our group guitar series. Students that did not take the previous course should know Parts of the guitar, A minor, E minor, and B7. In this course, we will learn C and G, and the notes on the fretboard as well as the major scales. We will first practice rhythm and switch between the different chords, review the prior weeks' chords, and then play a song that uses the chords we learned. Overview of the schedule: Week #1: Review E minor, A minor, and B7. Begin Learning notes on the fretboard. Week #2: Learn C Major. Review Last week. Learn more strum patterns, Begin G Major. Week #3: Review. Learn Major scales. Begin Playing a song. Week #4: Play a song. Review and earn the yellow belt (level 2) Depending on each individual class, students may be able to learn additional chords and material. You will actively be playing the guitar throughout the course. I will check for understanding throughout the lesson. This is a fun class. My teaching style is positive and encouraging. Prior to the class, please try to tune your guitar so that we have enough time to learn as much as we can in the time that we have.
