What's included
1 live meeting
55 mins in-class hours per weekHomework
1-2 hours per week. Learners may finish any unfinished projects between sessions if they would like. This is optional. They will learn the foundational skills and be able to create the presentation by the end of each class. They may choose to practice and build on these skills on their own.Class Experience
In this ongoing club, learners will explore and experiment with features of Google Slides. In each 55 minute session, we will work on different projects, and students will follow along with their own Google Slides creations to learn hands-on how to incorporate basic to advanced techniques. Each session will begin a new project that students can finish independently and share in the next session if they choose to. Each week features a new project! Skills covered will include beginning to advanced backgrounds, adding shapes and text, incorporating gifs, animating and adding sounds, creating clickable links and hidden objects, beginning to advanced layering techniques, embedding videos, and more. Students will learn how to make presentations, quizzes, games, fun animations, and more in each meeting. They will be encouraged to bring questions and creative ideas to build upon each time. Learners will also be encouraged to share what they are creating through screen sharing and collaborate with each other and the teacher to keep improving on their work throughout the class. Since it is an ongoing club, learners can enroll and unenroll at any time.
