Class Experience
In this 4-day camp, learners will practice note-taking skills using video lectures and articles. Each class will focus on one style of note-taking (list, outline, concept map, or Cornell) which will be compared to the notes the teacher also takes during the note-taking time. Templates of each style will be provided, but learners should come to the sessions with a notebook and something to write with as templates will not be readily available outside of class in note-taking situations. Students will learn and apply 4 note-taking styles in real-time. Students will identify a note-taking style that works best for them. Students will gain confidence in their ability to take notes from a video or live lecture, as well as scan readings for important key details.
