Get Your Read on with “The Black Cat” written by Edgar Allan Poe

Students will:
read the modified (simple) version of "The Black Cat" and summarize basic elements (plot, characters, setting, perspective);
understand and review biographical information about Edgar Allan Poe and the time period he lived;
and identify the emotions revealed in his work.

Students will be evaluated on their ability to:
summarize basic elements (discussion);
prove  comprehension of the stories (correctly answer questions);
and correct use of vocabulary (conversation).
