Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten
Do you have a learner getting ready to enter first grade in the fall? Do you want them to feel prepared and ready to learn? Then you have found the right class! In this class we will focus on reading, writing, and math skills to help your learner feel prepared for first grade. We will meet three times a week. The first day we meet we will work on reading skills. The second day on writing skills. The third day on math skills. We will work on these skills using a multisensory approach. We will play games, use modeling, and digital manipulatives to help us understand math concepts. It is recommended that your learner have a dry erase board and marker (The dollar store ones work great!). There will also be some handouts to print before class. *Note: Learners should know the sounds of each letter and be prepared to learn new sounds. They should also know how to read cvc, three letter, words like cat. *
