This 4 part course will provide your 1st grader with a full curriculum including Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Studies, and various electives in a small group setting!

What's included

40 live meetings
30 in-class hours
Homework
2-4 hours per week. Students will be given homework Monday-Friday for each subject. The homework will not be due until the next lesson of that subject is taught. For example, Monday's math homework will be due Thursday and Language Arts homework will be due the following Tuesday.
Assessment
Students will be given projects and/or assessments for each unit.
Progress Report
Report cards are offered at the end of each course.

Taught by certified educators, this is a full curriculum that will cover the 1st-grade common core standards.
This is a great way for your student to meet friends and have a consistent teacher and fellow classmates throughout the year.

⭐Friday sessions allow for small group and individual tutoring sessions. 
⭐Homework feedback will be comprehensive and detailed. 

Students will be expected to come to class Monday-Thursday and will have optional and individual help on Fridays.

Students will be given homework Monday-Thursday for each subject. The homework will not be due until the next lesson of that subject is taught. For example, Monday's math homework will be due Thursday and Langauge Arts homework will be due the following Tuesday. Homework should take no more than 10-15 minutes each day. Study hall and individual help is offered each Friday. 

Weekly packets will be posted every Friday. These will be used for the following week. It is recommended that these are printed out in order for students to complete the daily classwork.

The weekly schedule will include the following with brain breaks integrated throughout each day:

Monday:
-Morning Meeting: 10 minutes
-Reading/Writing 30 minutes

Tuesday: 
-Math Talk-10 minutes
-Math Lesson: 30 minutes

Wednesday: 
-Science: 20 minutes
-Social Studies: 20 minutes

Thursday: 
-Reading: 20 minutes
-Elective: 20 minutes
           -Electives change with each quarter/semester. 

Friday: 
-Teacher Officer Hours for individual help, questions, or study hall.

Students will turn in assignments through the Outschool Classroom. They will be given grades/feedback for each assignment along with individual and in-depth report cards after each semester.

All topics are taught from a scientific background with evidence and reasoning. All content is secular-based. Multiple perspectives of various cultures will be taught as learners learn about the geography and culture of various countries.
