Class Experience
Students will learn Geometry vocabulary and concepts. They will be able to identify 2 and 3-dimensional figures. Students will understand how to measure area and perimeter. Scholars will also be able to measure the radius and diameter of a circle. They will identify acute, obtuse and right angles as well as different types of triangles. Students will identify faces, edges and vertices of 3-dimensional figures and will identify the names of these 3-dimensional figures.We extend our learning as we learn to use a protractor to measure angles. We will learn to identify complimentary and supplementary angles as well.Finally, students will learn how to use a coordinate plane.
I have a Masters in Elementary Education from Austin College, in Sherman, Texas. I have taught for 28 years mostly in 3rd and 4th grade.

There will be some materials uploaded that need to be printed before particular lessons. Please also have a ruler, a compass, a protractor, as well as a pencil and papers.
Students will interact with the teacher using informal assessment throughout the lesson.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
