Introduction to landscape painting, learning about paint consistency and aerial perspective.
 Week 3
Lesson 3
Animal Portrait - A Cat
Introduction to animal drawing, learning about measuring proportions. We will create a colourful background and a paint a realistic silhouette of a cat.
 Week 4
Lesson 4
Animal drawing - A Wolf
We will deepen our understanding of proportions and learn about the importance of contour. We will further explore silhouette art painting techniques.
 Week 5
Lesson 5
Underwater scene with a turtle and a coral reef
Introduction to mixed media techniques. We will learn how to break down a project into steps. We will be working with reference and imagination.
 Week 6
Lesson 6
Mushroom town + practice drawing "Floating Island"
Introduction to inking. We will learn how to create a realistic illustration. We will be combining ink drawing with watercolour.
 Week 7
Lesson 7
Animal drawing - Realistic owl in watercolour
We will be combining the most important painting techniques to create a beautiful animal portrait.
 Week 8
Lesson 8
Painting a realistic eye with watercolour + colour mixing exercises 
This lesson is a thorough introduction to colour mixing and a colour wheel. We will be combining multiple techniques we learned in the course to paint an eye realistically.
