20 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In the beginning of this hands-on class, we will go over the colors of the rainbow and count the circles. We will discuss what shape the fruit loops are. I will explain and demonstrate the sorting activity. We will sort and count each color together a couple of times. Then each student will take turns picking a color of their choice and counting the fruit loop while putting them in the correct circle. Don't be surprised when your child ends up eating just as much as they are sorting, but that is sort of the point. :) Each student needs to have some Fruit Loops cereal and their own printable sorting mat. You can print out the template for the student if you would like if not I will have it available to show the students. They can just sort the colors without one or they can also draw circles on a piece of paper.
Learning Goals
Students will learn and improve math concepts like colors, patterns, counting, and sorting. Students will improve fine motor skills and social skills.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hey Parents Hey! 👋🏻 I’m Mrs. Mandy. I have always loved being around children and helping them learn new things. I have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Brandman University. 👩🏼🎓I love to teaching children. 📚 I am currently a stay at home mom and work as an aide in an elementary school district. I also teach English to kids in China and have my own health and wellness business. Throughout the years, I have worked at several elementary school districts and some of the things I have done include tutoring, working with a small group of children helping them with their reading and writing skills and proctoring children on the playground.
Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a teacher. I used to play “school” with my younger brother and sister. I wanted to be a teacher so I can help children improve their reading skills. To me all children can learn, you just need to find what way works best for them. I think learning should be fun and challenging. 👩🏼🏫
If I am not being a mom to my 8 year old twin daughters and 17 year old son or hanging with my husband I am crafting all sorts of different things. 🧔👧👧🧑 I love to craft in my spare time. I also love to travel and sightsee new places. 🌎🏖
I cannot wait to see you in my classroom. ❤
