Class Experience

In this Frozen ballet class we will learn a very simple ballet combo, and have fun sharing our love of Frozen. We will cover basic ballet steps such as plie’, tendu, and basic coordination skills. We will start with a basic ice breaker where I ask everyone a question to get them comfortable participating, and then we will go into stretch and warm up. After that we will break down some of the key ballet steps in the combo, and then put them together. I run the class with movement games focused on learning our combo. This is a beginner class where no prior experience is needed.

The goal in this class is to share our love of Frozen movie while learning a ballet combo and singing along to our favorite songs!

Parental Guidance

For this class dancers will need space where they can move around and not run into sharp edges.

Supply List

Dancers may need some kind of refreshments. 
Ballet shoes are always welcome but not needed.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Nia, and I am a dancer from Chicago. I have been dancing professionally for 5 years and it has been an amazing experience. I’ve had the opportunity to go to Athens, Greece as well as participate in Paris Fashion week. I love to teach Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary. When I was young I was very shy and dance really helped me to find my place, and my voice. So that is what I like to focus on in my classes, building confidence, and being comfortable expressing yourself.
