US Grade 4 - 5
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this lesson the students will learn how to find the least common multiple of numbers. This class is good for students that are in the 5th and 6th grade. This is a necessary skill to learn to prepare students to solve fractions. The students in this class should know the multiplication facts in order to be successful. The class will begin with a review of the multiplication facts. Each student will be given an opportunity to answer a basic multiplication problem. Next the terms multiple, common multiple and least common multiple will be discussed and defined. Then using the Zoom whiteboard I will demonstrate how to find the least common multiple of numbers using the I do, we do, you do strategy. The students will then be given many opportunities to demonstrate understanding of the skill by completing additional problems on the whiteboard. Students will also enter answers to the problems in the chat box for me to check.
