In this engaging 7-lesson course, 4th graders will master the skill of rounding numbers up to the hundred thousands place. This lesson will Review how to skip count by powers of ten in order to assure that students can round to the various benchmarks. 14 mins of video lessons
Lesson 2:
Rounding to the Nearest ten
This lesson will start with rounding numbers to the nearest ten up to the hundred thousands place with a number line. We will find the two tens a number is between as well as the number in the middle. 12 mins of video lessons
Lesson 3:
Rounding to the Nearest Hundred
This lesson will continue with using the number line and rounding to the nearest hundred up to the hundred thousands. 13 mins of video lessons
Lesson 4:
Rounding to the Nearest Thousand
For this lesson we will modify the number line to determine which thousand to round the number to. 9 mins of video lessons

I also hold Masters in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on math and science. I have been lucky enough throughout my career to have taught grades K through 6 and be a math and reading interventionist.
