US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this one time class, students will learn physics while playing and having fun. During this class, students will build ramps from cardboard, books, or other house hold items. We will learn about the three laws of motion through hands on testing with our ramps and other variables such as height, weight, and adding texture to our ramps. Students will be exposed to scientific terms such as hypothesis, conclusion, variables, friction, and force. The teacher will also give other examples of how...
Students will need materials to build a ramp. Some examples may include cardboard, cookie sheet, cutting board, books, blocks, etc. They need to be able to change the height of their ramp during class. They also need several cars of different size or balls. The should also bring something to change the texture of the ramp such as bubble ramp, a towel, or blanket.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
