Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
In this ongoing Outer Space Science Club, students will blast off into a new corner of our solar system each week, exploring fascinating planets, moons, stars, and more! Each session will start with an exciting exploration of the topic, where students will learn fun facts, view images, and engage in lively discussions. At the start of each class, students will have the opportunity to share their own space facts or discoveries, contributing to the group's knowledge and sparking curiosity.

After our space-themed learning, students will dive into a hands-on experiment or project that connects to the week's topic. Some experiments will be completed from start to finish during class, while others may take a little extra time throughout the week to finish. These activities will be designed to encourage exploration and creativity, while reinforcing scientific concepts in a fun and interactive way.

This class is highly interactive, blending structured learning with socializing and shared experiences. Students will have the chance to work together, ask questions, and engage in discussions, making it an exciting learning environment. Materials for each class are easy to find, often from your local grocery store or online (such as Amazon). A materials list will be provided at least one week in advance, so you'll always be prepared!

Each week’s theme may be influenced by the interests and suggestions of the students in the class, ensuring that the topics stay relevant and exciting. If there are any changes to the schedule or themes, at least one week’s notice will be given.

This club is perfect for young learners who are curious about space, eager to explore new science concepts, and excited to join a community of like-minded kids.

Master's Degree in Education from University of Maryland, College Park
Hello to Everyone! My name is Miss Meghan and I can’t wait to meet your child. I enjoy teaching a variety of classes for preschool and early elementary ages.

I hold a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. At the beginning of my career, I worked extensively with autistic children in home settings designing programs to help students access the world around them in an empowering way. After my oldest daughter was born, I became a licensed childcare provider creating a home away from home for many children to grow and learn. When my youngest daughter was born, I decided it was time to explore other options and that is how I landed at Outschool. I am so grateful for this opportunity and love meeting new learners from all over the world.

I have a passion for instilling a love of learning in young children through exposure, messy play, and fun! I strongly believe that letting children delve into learning at their own level and allowing for different types of learning styles sets children up for a life long learning journey.

In addition to teaching on Outschool, I currently homeschool my youngest daughter and am very involved in her homeschool co-op and activities. My oldest daughter, who was homeschooled until high school, is trying public school for the first year! I feel so grateful to have a career that I love that also affords me the opportunity to spend time with my own children as well. In my free time, I enjoy art, brainstorming new lesson ideas, cross stitch, and reading!

I offer science, art, language arts, social studies, math, and social classes for preschool and early elementary groups, as well as social groups for neurodivergent learners! Please feel free to message me with any questions!
