I am an educator at heart, and I have enjoyed sharing knowledge in a manner that others can understand for over 20 years. I approach teaching with a growth mindset. I engage students through games, have the students actually work problems and share their thinking, incorporate their interests, and include life application.

I am a Math Interventionist, and Adjunct Developmental Math Professor. In the past, I have served as a Regional Math Coach (Elementary), taught 2nd Math/Science (on-level and gifted), 3rd grade Math, and worked as a private Math and Reading Interventionist (grades 2 – 12) for several Title I schools, private and faith-based schools. Many of my students received commendations on standardized math tests. Since 2009, the opportunity to teach for a community college has been my delight. The courses include Pre-algebra, Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, and Mathematics for Business and Social Sciences. The class formats include face-to-face, online and hybrid. In addition, I enjoy working with ESL students.
Personal Side:
Once upon a time, I was a storyteller and teacher in Children's Ministry. During church conferences, I presented workshops on storytelling. My husband and I run a non-profit ministry to feed the hungry.

In addition to sharing knowledge in a manner that others can understand, I enjoy conducting professional developments for teachers, teaching ESL, reading, crafting, fishing, and traveling.
Let's work together to improve grades, accomplish your academic goals, increase your personal growth or just have plain fun with crafts.
Bottom line - I enjoy empowering others to succeed! I have witnessed grades improve, confidence rise, and many "light bulbs" come on and stay on with my teaching style being a contributing factor. Take action and meet me in class.
