Let’s have fun learning and practicing the multiplication facts 0 -12 with interactive engaging games such as themed Jeopardy, Mystery Messages, Riddles, Kahoot, Bingo, Tic Tac Toe to name a few. The lessons repeat every month, but the games are different. So, join as many times as you like to learn all strategies or to review the one you need to practice. I have designed the games to promote a growth mindset. Instead of saying “I don’t know,” we learn to say, “I don’t know it YET!” Finally, there will be opportunities to play as individuals and teams depending upon the size of the class as well as taking advantage of teachable moments. Students should be familiar with the concept of multiplication facts. Class structure: 5 minutes: Warm up activity as students enter classroom 10 – 15 minutes Instructional Review 25 minutes: Interactive activity with teachable moments explained by peers and/or instructor. ***September*** Week 1 – Foundational Facts -n- Concepts Week 2 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 - For 3s and 7s Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 - For all even numbers Week 4 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 - Multiple Strategies for 9’s ***October*** Week 1 – Foundational Facts Week 2 - Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 – for 3s and 7s Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 – for all even numbers Week 4 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 – multiple strategies for 9s Week 5 -No class ***November – December*** Week 1 – Foundational Facts Week 2– Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 - for 3s and 7's Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 – for all even numbers Week 4 -No class Week 5 - Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 – multiple strategies for 9s ***January / February*** January -Week 5 – Foundational Facts -n- Concepts February - Week 1 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 - For 3s and 7s Week 2– Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 - For all even numbers Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 - Multiple Strategies for 9’s Week 4 - Multiplication Fact (0-12) Review Game ***March *** Week 1 – Foundational Facts -n- Concepts Week 2 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 - For 3s and 7s Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 - For all even numbers Week 4 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 - Multiple Strategies for 9’s ***April *** Week 1 – Foundational Facts -n- Concepts Week 2 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 1 - For 3s and 7s Week 3 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 2 - For all even numbers Week 4 – Multiplication Fact Strategy 3 - Multiple Strategies for 9’s
