Class Experience
This Ongoing class meets once a week for 30 minutes and serves as math support for your math learner. Your student will receive one on one support and instruction. Tutor uses a variety of interactive online tools such as uploading student’s homework and we both use annotation tools to using math gamification where students solves math problems via a game format. I purpose to empower students to succeed whether they currently struggle, want enrichment, or need homework help. To Maximize our time together: Homework Help - When you book a session, please send me the homework ahead of time so that I can prepare relevant notes or have extra problems or a game ready to go. Remediation – When you book a session, please send graded test, graded homework, or math topic ahead of time so that I can prepare relevant notes or have extra problems or a game ready to go. Enrichment - When you book a session, you may send math topic ahead of time so that I can prepare relevant notes or have extra problems or a game ready to go. Otherwise, I will choose a grade appropriate math topic/activity to challenge your learner. I am an educator at heart, and I have enjoyed sharing knowledge in a manner that others can understand for over 20 years. I approach teaching with a growth mindset. I engage students through games, have the students actually work problems and share their thinking, incorporate their interests, and include life application.

I am a Math Interventionist, and Adjunct Developmental Math Professor. In the past, I have served as a Regional Math Coach (Elementary), taught 2nd Math/Science (on-level and gifted), 3rd grade Math, and worked as a private Math and Reading Interventionist (grades 2 – 12) for several Title I schools, private and faith-based schools. Many of my students received commendations on standardized math tests. Since 2009, the opportunity to teach for a community college has been my delight. In addition, I enjoy working with ESL students.
