Private Origami Tutoring With Dave
Class experience
The word "origami" is Japanese for "to fold paper." Originally, this craft was only available for the elite. Now, it is for everyone! Origami has many great benefits like: - developing hand-eye coordination - improving concentration and spatial awareness - helping with math skills such as symmetry, measurements, proportions, geometry, 3D comprehension, sequencing, and problem-solving In this ongoing class, I will be teaching skills and creations that reflect the individuals skill level....
The goal of these classes is to help the learner develop folding and creasing skills, as well as spatial awareness and problem-solving skills, in order to advance them to higher levels of origami than they thought were possible. Perhaps even be able to invent origami creations themselves!
Learners will need origami paper or different colors and patterns, according to their preferences. While origami paper is recommended, plain printer paper can be used, as well as magazine paper, wrapping paper, and certain types of craft paper. "Construction paper", or any other easily torn paper, is not recommended.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
