Learning Goals

Understand Environmental Art: Explore how natural landscapes like the Great Barrier Reef inspire art, focusing on marine conservation themes in Robert Wyland's work.
Create Inspired Art Projects: Develop original artworks reflecting personal travel experiences and observations of the Great Barrier Reef and Greece.

Syllabus

3 Lessons
over 3 Weeks
Lesson 1:
The Great Barrier Reef
 Lesson 1 focuses on the Great Barrier Reef. First, we will take a virtual field trip through the majestic Great Barrier Reef. Next, we will learn about the famous artist Robert Wyland and a few painting techniques. Last you will draw and paint or color a sea turtle with me. 
Lesson 2:
Greece
 Lesson 2 focuses on Greece. First, we will take a fun virtual trip with a happy family through parts of Greece that are breathtaking! Next, we will play a Kahoot about Ancient Greece. Last, we will draw and paint or color a greece inspired water and sailboat. 
Lesson 3:
Matisse Inspired Still Life Flower Drawing
 Lesson 3 focuses on Matisse. First, we will learn all about him with a short biography. Next we will take a relaxing gallery walk through Matisse's work. Last we will draw and paint or color a Matisse inspired still life of flowers.
