Learning Goals: Students participating in this course will enhance their multiplication and division foundational skills through a series of dynamic activities. Key Features: The course incorporates a range of exciting activities that promote learning while having fun. By participating in these activities, students will witness a noticeable improvement in their multiplication and division abilities. Activities Include, But Are Not Limited To: 1. Live Quiz Games: Engaging quiz games that make learning a competitive and interactive experience. 2. Escape Rooms: Students solve math-based puzzles to "escape" from virtual rooms, fostering critical thinking skills. 3. Mystery Puzzles: Solving mysteries by applying multiplication and division concepts in engaging scenarios. 4. Multiplication Fluency Strategies 2. Division Fluency Strategies 3. Word Problem Comprehension for Multiplication and Division 4. Multiplying and dividing 2 digit numbers concepts and foundations ๐ค๐ญ๐ขโ๏ธ๐งฎ Math Instruction: The class aims to support students learning and mastery of mathematical procedures, concepts, and reasoning. Each week, students will focus on a particular skill, for example, multiplication strategies for 3s, by participating in an interactive and engaging class structure. Students will utilize an interactive application where they will be able to annotate problem responses, collaborate with their classmates, and play game quizzes. Students will also participate in math games throughout the course in order to keep students engaged in learning. The structure of this class encourages students to appreciate the process of math rather solely focusing on the outcome. Whatever the student's educational history, I believe that this class will motivate students to appreciate math in their lives.
