1 hour per week. Each session, students will be asked to speak with their parents about the weekly topic and how parents view the topic.
Assessment
Comprehension questions will be asked at the end of each session.

Class Experience

Embark on a journey to financial empowerment in my ongoing Outschool class, where we explore the intricacies of Personal Finance and its direct relevance to your life. Personal Finance is the key to a successful life beyond your parents' home, encompassing the pursuit of your unique financial goals, whether it's saving for a car, funding your college education, or planning for retirement (yes, it's never too early to start!).

Your actions, aspirations, and necessities all hinge on your income, expenses, and individual goals. Join me each week as we delve into specific topics related to Personal Finance. The best part? You can join at any time, as this class is cyclical, with each session standing alone.

A bit about me: I'm a licensed Secondary Education Business and Marketing teacher based in the Los Angeles metro area, with a passion for teaching Personal Finance. Graduating from Arizona State University and Regent University, I bring real-world experience after 15 years in retail management. Currently caffeinated, a swim enthusiast, and a dreamer of returning to Paris!

• Explore the significance of taxes, the purpose of insurance, key considerations in job selection and paycheck management, and the critical role of budgeting for a financially sound post-graduation life.
