Learning English can be difficult because there are sounds that don't exist in Chinese. Every week we will meet and practice a new sound or blend.

Beginner - Advanced Level
Sounds in English can be tricky. A single letter can make as many as 4 different sounds depending on the situation! Other letters "blend" together when they appear next to each other. Some English sounds don't exist in Chinese at all. Join this class to practice your skills with "tricky" English letters and combinations.
Example sounds we will cover include:
-'R' (vocalic and pre-vocalic)
-'L' (light and dark)
-'th'
-fricative sounds ('f' and 'x')Learning Goals
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to correctly pronounce a new English sound in multiple contexts.
