What happens when a group of Minecraft-loving friends is offered a chance to experience the game like never before? What adventures await them as they virtually dive "into the game"? In this one-time course students will meet to briefly discuss the first entry in the Minecraft Woodsword Chronicles series: Into the Game! by Nick Eliopulos. Participants will be asked questions that test their comprehension of the book and associated vocabulary, and participate in discussion with fellow fans of the series on their favourite moments in the story. Students will be expected to have read the book before participating in the class.

Hello, my name is Nathan Hoyt. Since 2008, I have been a full-time teacher in the public school system. Now, I am excited to embark on this new journey, stretching beyond the regular classroom and into the engaging world of online learning with Outschool!
For as long as I can remember I have been passionate about literacy. The abilities to read, write and express ourselves effectively are of the utmost importance in basically every situation life can throw our way. It is my deep-rooted desire to meet students where they are at in these skills and try to hone them into even more successful, life-long learners.
I love the opportunity to interact with students in ways that are fun, creative and meaningful. I make it my mission to create a learning environment where all students feel safe, confident, and included. As an educator I never tire of that great feeling of seeing the pride and sense of accomplishment on a young person’s face when they have learned something new and put that learning into action. I would love to be able to share that experience with your students through Outschool!
