Class Experience
Each class will begin with a warm up that will include stretching exercises on the floor as well as standing. Each class a new dance will be taught. An instructional game will be played each week in addition to freeze dance! Day 1 - Casita! We will begin class with a Ballet warm up and stretch, play a Ballet Dance game using movement cards and will learn a routine to "All of You". We will end class with a game of freeze dance! - Your child will learn beginner ballet dance steps in a creative and positive learning environment. They will also learn choreography to four short ballet dances which will teach them various patterns. Dancing to music also teaches the student how to develop rhythm and musicality. And most of all, learn to have fun and enjoy movement!
Please make sure your child is in an area where they can move around freely. Also, having a water bottle nearby during class is encouraged. Students will want to be in comfortable clothes that they can easily move in and hair pulled back. By signing up for this class you should understand that when participating in any exercise or dance program, there is the possibility of physical injury.
