Elements of Writing using Descriptive Words to Convey Experiences and Events!

This will be a very interactive class . The class time is shared between the teacher explaining the concepts and Q&A sessions between the students and the teacher. The teacher will use Google slides to explain the concepts and use screen share. Each class will be for 55 mins. The topic for this course is: Writing a narrative piece by incorporating sensory details to convey experiences and events. The teacher will explain how to use sensory words and adjectives to their sentences to better their writing. Students will brainstorm sensory words, create mind maps/ Web Charts and make drafts of their writing. Students will peer edit and then write a final piece. Finally, they will share it to the whole class. This class is spread over 4 days, with each day focusing on the different elements of writing.
Day 1: Students will get introduced to narrative writing elements. They will  focus on emotions, feelings, sensory details of a particular topic through brainstorming and create a mind map.

Day2: Students will start writing their first draft after the teacher discusses/ works on examples of a few writing pieces. 

Day3: Students will share their drafts with the class and will start peer editing and getting feedback. They will incorporate the feedback and improve their writing.

Day4: Students will write their final draft and publish their writing.
